Case Study of Bidirectional Wind Turbine (10KW Class) Installation in Shinmaiko, Aichi Prefecture
New multi-stage design! Introduction to measures against typhoons and lightning strikes (Rising Strike).
We would like to introduce a case of the installation of a new type of multi-stage bidirectional wind turbine (10KW class) in Shinmaiko, Aichi Prefecture. After a typhoon, the cut-out is very minimal, and the tornado-type wind turbine can generate power even in strong winds. Although its generation efficiency is inferior to that of propeller-type turbines, its high operational rate is a notable feature. For lightning protection (rising strike), a lightning rod is installed on each of the three pillars of the triangular housing, vertically grounding induced lightning through the lightning rods on each pillar, minimizing damage. 【Case Overview】 ■ Installation Location: Shinmaiko, Aichi Prefecture ■ Installed Product: Bidirectional Wind Turbine (10KW class) ■ Installation Effects ・High operational rate even after a typhoon ・Even if struck directly by lightning, the triangular housing and the blades mounted on two axes have an extremely low risk of falling *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
